Organizing team headshots in Baltimore, Central Maryland or DC should not become another project on your list, and with me it does not. We begin with a conversation about the schedule, the look you want and practical details such as backdrop and team size. I then bring a full studio to your office, and every person who steps in front of my camera receives coaching on posture, posing and expression. What follows is the whole day, from the first message to the final gallery.
Planning team headshots in Baltimore takes one conversation
Everything starts with a message through my contact form. Tell me roughly how large your team is and what you have in mind, and I will take it from there.
We build the schedule around the rhythm of your workday, whether that means rotating people through between meetings or reserving specific times for leadership. Ahead of the date I send a short guide that you can forward to your team, covering what to wear and what to expect, so the questions are answered before anyone has to ask them.
If your team is already gathering for a retreat or a conference, that is often the most efficient day to photograph everyone. For larger gatherings I also run a conference headshot booth.
Why on-location at your office?
Bringing the studio to your office keeps the team at work. Nobody travels, and each person is away from their desk for only a few minutes. Because everyone is photographed with the same lighting, backdrop and crop, your website team page and your LinkedIn profiles read as one coherent set, which you can judge for yourself in the portfolio. Viewers form an impression of a face in a fraction of a second, and for many of your clients and candidates the team page is where that impression is made.
Where I set up
I bring the lighting, backdrop and camera, and setup takes about 45 minutes. A lobby or other large open area tends to work best because it offers the floor space I need without displacing a meeting room. If you are unsure what your building has to offer, describe the space to me and we will work out what suits it.
What happens in front of the camera
When a group photo is wanted, I take it first, while everyone is still together. After that each person steps up individually and I coach posture and expression through the session, which averages 5 to 7 minutes per person. Each person reviews the images on the spot and chooses the one they prefer, which spares you and your staff a round of back and forth later.
Plenty of people tell me they dislike being photographed, and nearly all of them are surprised by how comfortable they feel after the first few frames.
Retouching and delivery
Every image is retouched. Each person receives their gallery by email through a secure link, and you, as the organizer, receive a master gallery that holds the whole team in one place. If you would prefer to choose the images yourself, or to arrange selection another way, we can set it up to suit you. I confirm the delivery date when you book, based on the size of your team.
Matching headshots you already have
If your website or team page already carries headshots, send me a few examples and I can match the look so the new photos sit comfortably beside them. If someone is out on the day, we can arrange a make-up session.
Common questions about team headshots
How long do team headshots take?
Allow about 45 minutes for setup, then an average of 5 to 7 minutes per person. A team of 10 takes about an hour in front of the camera, and a team of 30 takes about three hours.
What should everyone wear?
Whatever they would wear to meet a client. Solid colors photograph better than busy patterns. The guide I send for your team covers this, so you do not have to answer the question twenty times.
Do you photograph teams in Washington DC?
Yes. I photograph teams in Baltimore, Washington DC and Central Maryland, and I come to your office.
How much do team headshots cost?
Pricing depends on the size of your team. Tell me roughly how many people you have and I will send you a quote. The corporate and team headshots page lists what every session includes.
